What gem should I put in my Void Gauntlet?

Gemming the Void Gauntlet – NEED Dev response please! This new weapon does Void damage and scales off INT and FOC. For the typical FOC heavy healer, I assume it still makes sense to put an Amber gem in this in order to have 50% of the damage scale off FOC, right? Otherwise, it will scale of my non-existent INT.

  1. Thoughts? 1 Like I want to know this too.
  2. Im assuming it will need an amber gem.1 Like Just put a diamond in it.
  3. A T5 amber halves your damage with no gain.950 void damage just becomes 475 void and 475 nature.
  4. The Void Gauntlet literally scales with Focus throughout its damage and only scales for its healing passives and abilities.

Its prob 0.65 just like all secondary attributes, so no you wont see stuff like with a great axe where slash damage is 198 and nature is 320. Do diamond.1 Like As I understand it anything above a Flawed Amber gem is broken and doesn’t sale properly. You’ll end up losing damage.2 Likes if the Void Gaunlet has FOC as secondary stat, shouldn’t the damage increae a bit more with an amber gem? Some scaling between pure FOC and pure INT.1 Like Is this true? Can you cite a source so I can do my own follow up research? I’ve never heard this complaint or acknowledgement from AGS, and now I’m very curious.

Thanks Why do you say that an Amber gem “just halves your damage with no gain” and then go on to say that it splits it into two different damage types. I can see an argument that it’s no gain (although damage diversity has its own advantages), but I don’t see an argument that it “halves your damage”.

Can you elaborate on what exactly you mean? 1 Like Can confirm, i just tried putting a T5 amber in my guantlet. Did a duel with a friend with no gem and light attacks were 545 and light attack crit was 640, blade was 573/768. Slotted the gem and light attack was now 272/272 (void/nature) crit- 320/320 (void nature) blade was the same waymy int/focus is 74 int 263 focus during the test 4 Likes Thanks for reporting that this is still not quite working correctly.

Our dev team has and will be working to solve these issues. The thread is still open and no further comments have been made by AGS. Still seems to be broken, or at least there’s no mention of a fix.1 Like Amber is a gem used to manipulate weapons that don’t scale with focus It really was just a patch work for lifestaff mains that needed a second weapon to deal damage and sustain themselves since LS is single target damage and there were no other weapons that utilized focus at all on launch.

Also, have you read the description for amber gems at all? ” 50 % of damage is converted to, Damage scales off base weapon stat or, whichever is higher.” The only way this works to maybe scaling better is if you have the 150 INT bonus, but even then, you are far better off with almost any other gem equipped.

TheGoodGuyTM: Also, have you read the description for amber gems at all? ” 50 % of damage is converted to, Amber gem has been broken forever and we get no response from the lazy developers here about this issue. Only 20% amber gem is working properly, higher tier amber gems are useless.2 Likes Yes of course I’ve read the Amber description.

Maybe I’m misinterpreting it, but the way I read it, it seems to be a reasonable solution for an all FOC build using a non-FOC offhand.

“50% of damage is converted to Nature”.This doesn’t imply halving damager, it states that a damage conversion is taking place, so that the offhand no longer deals 100% of whatever damage type it dealt ungemmed, it now deals 50% of its original damage type, and 50% Nature type.”Damage scales off base weapon stat or FOC, whichever is higher”.

This is ambiguous (which damage?) but I read it to mean that the converted damage (i.e., the 50% that is now Nature), now scales off either FOC or the offhand’s base damage type stat, whichever is higher, meaning that 50% of the offhand’s damage scales off of FOC, OR off of your stat that matches the offhand’s weapon damage stat, whichever is higher. In most cases, you’re not going to have many points in the offhand’s base stat, in which case the converted damage is going to scale off FOC. So the ungemmed offhand will have very little damage scaling, based on the likelihood that you have very little of the stat that ordinarily powers it. This will also be true for 50% of the gemmed offhand’s damage, BUT the other 50% will now scale with FOC, providing the offhand with at least 50% of its damage having higher scaling. So rather than “halving the damage”, it actually increases the damage of the 50% that’s been converted. That’s how I read the description. I’m happy to be shown where I’m wrong if I’m wrong, I don’t profess to know the reality here, which is why I asked you to elaborate on your statement.2 Likes I’ve heard this claim many times and I keep hoping there will be an official response, or that someone would post evidence. Have you seen any actual tests that confirm the assertion that only 20% is working on all Amber cuts? If so, could you please provide a reference so I can assess it myself? Thanks 1 Like So, according to your test, the overall damage amount was the same (272*2, or 545), just distributed over two different damage types, right? This confirms that at least the damage conversion is working, but the scaling is broken. This seems to conflict with other reports that the damage scaling is working, but only up to 20% and no more, regardless of which gem is used. This whole thing is a mess, I wish AGS would clarify and/or fix if broken.3 Likes There is a search button on this forums one could use to find a lot of posts on this topic. It even was on a known issues list prior to the disastrous 1.1 patch, but somehow it dissapeared from the current known issues list. It was known and reported several times in closed beta. Several threads asking for official comments have been ignored so far by the not so useful community managers. What is your character name in New World: Tymax What server/world did you experience your issue on: Naxos Describe the issue you are experiencing: The Amber Gem does not scale with Focus and will always use the weapon damage. I did test this with 2 Great Axes and one cut flawed amber, as well as a brilliant amber and compared it to the damage the Great Axe dealt before inserting any gems. The Result: The total damage dealt was always the exact same. Inserting an Amber Gem of any sorts had only 1 Like I would say Amber makes sense even before gems are fixed because some mobs have void resistance but none to Nature.3 Likes What bobbyg843 saw is exactly what I saw when playing with the amber gem in VG on PTR, reason I say to just use diamond lol. And so as to not bemoan the point, just use diamond. If you’re using the left side ultimate passive or the decaying orb skill, you’re going to like the diamond A LOT, trust me. Logic testing and the like aren’t needed. You’re almost always going to be topped off, you’ll put out way more damage AND heals with it. If you’re fighting Lost mobs just use the Life Staff or just keep swinging with the VG.1 Like Everyone’s pretty much talked this one to death, but I’ve been toying with VG myself as a healer (55) and have gotten the WS up to 16 as of last night. Currently running 100 INT, 150 FOC, 100 CON. I tried an opal first (+15% dmg when < 100% stamina) but it's a pain to force yourself to constantly dodge when you don't really need to. Then slotted amber, which does indeed only split damage 50/50 (no Focus scaling happening at brilliant/pristine levels). However, if you read up on, you'll see that nature is quite good vs. most mobs as I think only one has some resistance to it. It feels like more of my damage is getting through when I solo post-amber, but could just be anecdotal. Even without the Focus scaling, seems like the nature damage helps with penetration. Obviously would rather they fix it though. Re. Diamond, I like the healing bonus for sure but I'm rarely at full health when soloing out in the world. Maybe my first hit or two but that's it. And again, it feels to me that the nature damage just penetrates better But maybe I just like seeing all the damage numbers floating when I attack, lol.3 Likes This is my understanding. The damage SPLIT Is working. But the Nature damage SCALE increase with higher Focus does not. And as I also understand the higher the gem above Flawed the less overall damage is done when both damage types are totalled together. Also, yeah. Even with Flawed I feels like the small hits of Nature really help especially when fighting against the Lost who are highly resistant to Void but weak against Nature. And since I have been farming alot of them recently, I recommend Amber. But if you are looking for an alternative, I like Emerald. The extra damage on targets below 30% is nice on beefier badguys.2 Likes To test this, ppl need to hit some target that has 0 defense against Void and Nature damage. Maybe the dummies in the War camp can help. Personally I felt like I had a little damage bump by adding the Amber gem. Maybe the increase was 5%, maybe 10%. But not something huge. Problem is that in my case I didn't have 2 exact void gaunlets, one without gem and one with the gem. I had two very similar, but one had FOC the other one had INT+DEX+AmberGem However not sure if this is better than a diamond gem, and stuff like that.1 Like : Gemming the Void Gauntlet - NEED Dev response please!

Is Void Gauntlet strong?

Void Gauntlet Overview – The Void Gauntlet is very much a “Jack of all Trades” type of weapon. While it lacks in certain qualities like raw healing power, this is compensated for heavily by with tons of DPS, buffing and debuffing capabilities. You can find out how to get the Void Gauntlet in its various tiers through the normal methods you would use to gain any other weapon like loot or craft. In the Damage category, there’s options to be able to properly function as both a ranged DPS or a Melee DPS. This unique flexibility allows the Void Gauntlet to easily pair with many other weapons, even ones that may require a Elemental Gem to keep up in damage.

Regardless of the weapon you choose to pair it with, it’s very well suited for the job. In the Support Category, the Void Gauntlet shines with access to many AoE Buffs and debuffs that help not only you but your teammates excel in combat, while weakening your foes in the process. While its ratios for healing aren’t impressive, being backed up by that much buffing and debuffing power can easily make it an incredibly potent off-healer.

Pairing it with the Life Staff to do the bulk of your healing, and letting this serve as more of a debuffing tool with a bit of extra healing.

What is the best Void 3.0 class?

There’s no denying that Warlocks received the long end of the stick with Destiny 2’s new Void 3.0 changes. Though all classes were given some new and powerful aspects and fragments to play with, Warlocks are by far the best class to run the new Void subclass on in Destiny 2,

New players and even returning players might feel a bit confused with all the new aspects and fragments, directly inspired by Stasis. Given how Void has also been one of the least played subclasses for Warlock for some time now due to how strong Solar has been, a lot of players are looking for inspiration for their new Voidlock builds.

This guide will show some of the best aspects, fragments, and gear for Void 3.0 Warlocks. Updated on June 18, 2022, by Anastasia Maillot: Now that season 16 is over and most of the new seasonal artifacts favor Solar 3.0, using Void subclass on Warlocks can feel extremely underwhelming.

What is the best void weapon in Destiny 2?

3/10 Under Your Skin – Best In Slot Void Gauntlet How to obtain: PsiOps Battlegrounds and focused Umbral Engrams. You’ll want a good Bow for PvE endgame content, preferably a Bow of each damage type, Under Your Skin is easily the best Legendary Void Bow you can use. It deals great damage, has great perk combinations, and it’s craftable.

  1. Most players focus on crafting the Archer’s Tempo and Successful Warm-Up perk combination on this weapon, but you don’t need that much draw speed for any activity (even if it’s satisfying to use).
  2. Archer’s Tempo and Explosive Head is a great combination for countering Champions in Nightfalls and Legendary Lost Sectors, and you can replace Explosive Head with Adaptive Munitions if you want this Bow to break all shield types.

Recommended Traits:

Column One: Archer’s Tempo, Unrelenting Column Two: Explosive Head (PvE), Adaptive Munitions, Successful Warm-Up

Welcome to DottzGaming.com’s Life Staff Void Gauntlet New World PvE Build! This build is intended for expeditions, but can be used solo if needed! The Life Staff is the primary healing weapon in New World, so every healing build will have it equipped.

Where a lot of the flexibility comes in is with the secondary weapon. For this setup, we decided to pair the Life Staff with the Void Gauntlet, due to its ability to give us some nice debuffs and healing support. Since this build is designed for group play, all of the healing abilities are focused around healing an area, making sure we can keep as many of our allies healed up as possible! Keep in mind that builds are very personal.

This is what worked for ME. If you don’t like something about it, change it to fit your playstyle.

  1. With the new timeless shards you still can’t add blessed to a VG.
  2. Please update this!!! Please address this AGS! Not allowing the only healing perk that matters on a healing weapon is nonsense! yeah wtf is going on why we cant craft void gauntlet with blessed, lifestaff/Void gauntlet is currently the best and most played healspec with good dps and a really fun gamestyle.

Please fix this as it is limiting the healing potential of the void gauntlet.1 Like Bump. None of the Blessed VG I’ve looked up have ideal stats. Is void damage true damage?

Damage Types In Warframe – Best In Slot Void Gauntlet There are 15 unique damage types in Warframe, each providing a unique effect and damage multipliers versus certain enemy types. Damage types are divided into certain categories:

Physical Damage, otherwise known as IPS

Impact Puncture Slash

Simple Elements

Cold Electricity Heat Toxin

Combined Elements

Blast Corrosive Gas Magnetic Radiation Viral

Hidden/Misc. Damage Types

True Damage

Can’t be modded for; this is intrinsic with certain damage sources

Void Damage

Used by Operators and Xaku

Most weapons in Warframe use Impact, Puncture, and Slash as their default damage types, although some weapon types (Lich and Tenet weapons, the Phage, etc.) might have an elemental damage type that coincides or even replaces Impact, Puncture, and Slash.

Elemental damage types can be applied to your weapon by using certain Mods, granting elemental damage based on a percentage of your base damage. Combined elements are created by applying two or more simple elements onto a weapon. Void damage is a rare damage type that is mainly used to strip Sentient resistances.

True damage is a hidden damage type that ignores armor. It’s usually found on Warframe abilities and Slash’s status effect.

Is void damage good?

Patch History – Update 29.5 (2020-11-19)

Void damage’s Status Effect will now redirect projectiles to the body part it proc’d on.

How it will work: If you shoot at an enemy’s head with Xata’s Whisper enabled and proc, the bubble will redirect all projectiles to the head. If you shoot at the feet, it’ll be redirected to the feet, etc.! It is however possible that even if you proc on the head but then shoot at the lower part of the bubble it might hit the body on the way up to being redirected to the head. This is a game wide change to Void Status Effect! Now that we have a Warframe that can harness Void damage at the click of a button, it has brought much focus to and discussion around its Status Effect. For those of you who are unfamiliar, in its current state it creates a bullet attractor bubble that directs all projectiles to the center of the enemy’s torso regardless of where it procs. Since Xata’s Whisper applies Void damage to all of their weapons, it was increasingly noticeable to Xaku players that the bubble’s current redirecting position prevents any attempt at enemy headshots until its duration expires. This is one of the main reasons for this change. Headshot disruption ultimately limits your damage output by removing the opportunity for headshot multipliers while it is active. Now, you will be able to use your headshotting skills to greater benefit, while also having generally more options to focus projectiles where desired. Note that regardless of where the Status Effect occurs, it will continue to prevent enemies from being able to shoot at you without having their projectiles redirected back to the center of the bubble.

Update 29.1 (2020-09-17)

We are making Void damage ‘True Neutral’ by removing the 50% resistance of Void damage on Cloned Flesh and Fossilized enemies – a long desired request for Void damage.

Currently, Void damage is relatively ineffective against Cloned Flesh and Fossilized enemies which greatly limits the use of Xata’s Whisper on Grineer and Infested enemies. In an effort to give it (and Void damage in general) more utility across enemy categories, we are removing this resistance so that it aligns with its neutral effectiveness against the other enemy types. It is important to note that Eidolons, Amalgams, and certain bosses will still maintain this resistance.

What is the most effective weapon of all time?

Nuclear weapon – Best In Slot Void Gauntlet first thermonuclear weapon U.S. Air Force photograph Nuclear weapons are the elephant in the room when the deadliest weapons in history are being discussed. The proliferation of nuclear weapons has provided humankind with the ability to inflict upon itself the sort of extinction-level event that was previously achievable only by straying into the path of an asteroid,

The atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima, Japan, killed 70,000 people initially, with tens of thousands more succumbing to radiation sickness over subsequent months and years. The explosive yield of Little Boy, the bomb dropped on Hiroshima, was equivalent to about 15 kilotons of TNT ; the Russian RS-28 Sarmat (called Satan 2 by NATO) ICBM was designed to deliver a payload 2,000 times more powerful than Little Boy.

Russian engineers claimed that a single Satan 2 missile could obliterate an area the size of Texas or France. Although arms limitation treaties drastically reduced the size of nuclear arsenals, there are still an estimated 15,000 nuclear weapons on Earth.

What is the Powerfullest weapon in the world?

Analysis – Total destructive radius, superimposed on Paris with the red circle indicating the area of total destruction (radius 35 kilometers), and the yellow circle the radius of the fireball (radius 3.5 kilometers). The Tsar Bomba is the single most physically powerful device ever deployed on Earth, the most powerful nuclear bomb tested and the largest man-made explosion in history.

For comparison, the largest weapon ever produced by the US, the now-decommissioned B41, had a predicted maximum yield of 25 Mt (100 PJ). The largest nuclear device ever tested by the US ( Castle Bravo ) yielded 15 Mt (63 PJ) because of an unexpectedly-high involvement of lithium-7 in the fusion reaction; the preliminary prediction for the yield was from 4 to 6 Mt (17 to 25 PJ).

The largest weapons deployed by the Soviet Union were also around 25 Mt (100 PJ) (e.g., the SS-18 Mod.3 warhead ). The weight and size of the Tsar Bomba limited the range and speed of the specially-modified bomber carrying it. Delivery by an intercontinental ballistic missile would have required a much stronger missile (the Proton started its development as that delivery system).

  • It has been estimated that detonating the original 100 Mt design would have released fallout amounting to about 26% of all fallout emitted since the invention of nuclear weapons.
  • It was decided that a full 100 Mt detonation would create a nuclear fallout that was unacceptable in terms of pollution from a single test, as well as a near-certainty that the release plane and crew would be destroyed before it could escape the blast radius.

The Tsar Bomba was the culmination of a series of high-yield thermonuclear weapons designed by the Soviet Union and the United States during the 1950s (e.g., the Mark 17 and B41 nuclear bombs).

What is the best elemental damage in New World?

Damage Perks in New World – Best In Slot Void Gauntlet In New World, players can use weapons, skills, and upgrades to damage both hostile enemies and other players with an array of different New World damage types. There are both physical and non-physical, or elemental, damage types. Enemies, elite bosses, and NPCs in the game can also have resistance against certain types of damage.

Arcane. Add Arcane damage to a weapon or armor using a Vial of Corrupted Essence. It makes sense since this type of power deals extra damage against Corrupted enemies. Fire. Use a chunk of Niter while crafting a weapon to give it a fire damage perk. The Fire Staff, crafted at an Arcana Station, deals only Fire damage. Ice. Use a Frozen Fang when crafting to add Chain Ice to any weapon. Aquamarine provides an Ice Ward for Armor. The Ice Gaunlet, which is crafted using the Arcana Skill, deals Ice damage exclusively. Lightning. Make an amulet using a Shard of Sparkmetal to get an increased resistance against lightning damage when applied to armor, and the Chain Lightning ability when used to make a weapon.
