Should I let Mr House live?

Kill/Disable Mr. House or not? I did few missions for him and I’m thinking about killing him, but Im not sure If I’ll earn anything or is it better to just keep doing missions for him Showing 1 – 15 of 70 comments This is one of the moral choices that control your destiny. And the future of the Wastelands. Last edited by bobczes ; 27 Dec, 2013 @ 1:00pm The choice and the consequences are your own. R5CYA 27 Dec, 2013 @ 3:19pm do all the missions untill he asks you for the big one, then YOU decide who runs the place. i love killing him, myself! Depends who you’re siding with. If it’s the Indie Vegas (Yes Man), than kill him ASAP. The Securitrons Mk II help in the long run. With the Legion, I honestly can’t tell you as I haven’t completed a Legion playthrough yet. WIth the NCR it doesn’t matter at all (for the most part). If you kill him you can earn a whole city. R5CYA 27 Dec, 2013 @ 6:00pm If you kill him you can earn a whole city. i’ll not be happy till i control the entire wasteland. let him live without letting him have any control over anything ALT08 28 Dec, 2013 @ 1:15am you can prolong the choice if you want, but if i remember corectly every other faction requires you to kill him before moving forward. your ultimate options are letting him live and thereby siding with him, or killing him and thereby siding with legion/ncr/yes man. He’s bad, he needs to be killed! Kill Him!! You rule the wastelands!! No dont kill him that is evil always be good House isn’t good. If anything he vacillates between lawful neutral and true neutral. Most of my couriers don’t end up going the independent route if they do kill him as they have no real interest in running the city. no dont kill house he’s such a nice man, exept he’s a mockery of the carrion god kill the heretic purge thee unclean stench thats what i did any way 😉 Showing 1 – 15 of 70 comments

Should I give the chip to Mr House?

When you give him the chip, he’ll upgrade the securitrons at The Strip, then give it back to you and send you to the other side of the map with it. You can betray him on this quest. Doesn’t affect anything. In every main quest route, you do get warning, that going further on that faction route, removes other options.

Is an Ace 2 3 4 5 a straight?

Poker/Basics – Wikibooks, open books for an open world The most fundamental of poker concern the hand rankings, because the hand rankings determine the winner. While betting is extremely important to the game, players are wagering on whether they have won, therefore a complete understanding of hand rankings must come first.

These hand rankings do not apply to games played “low”, such as or ; see the section on “low hands” below. The cards are ranked thus, from low to high: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, Jack, Queen, King, Ace. An ace is the highest card, but it can also function as the lowest in completing a straight. The two is usually called a “deuce”, and the three is sometimes called a “trey”.

Ten, Jack, Queen, King, and Ace are often abbreviated T, J, Q, K, and A, respectively, so that each card name has a single number or letter associated with it. This is commonly used in describing hands, for example, A-2-3-4-5 is a hand with an ace, a two (“deuce”), a three, a four, and a five — not necessarily in that order, but presenting them in that order makes it clear that the hand is a straight.

Ranks from lowest to highest

Rank name Also called Cards needed Example Names for example
High card No pair, nothing (Anything) A-x-x-x-x Ace high
Pair Two cards of same rank A-A-x-x-x Aces; pair of aces
Two pair Two pairs A-A-K-K-x Aces up; aces and kings; aces over kings
Three of a kind Trips, a set Three cards of same rank A-A-A-x-x Three aces; set of aces
Straight Five cards in sequence 10-J-Q-K-A Ace-high straight
Flush All five cards same suit A♣ 10 7♣ 6♣ 4♣ Ace-high flush
Full house Boat, full boat Three of a kind plus a pair A-A-A-K-K Aces full; aces full of kings
Four of a kind Quads Four cards of same rank A-A-A-A-x Quad aces; four aces
Straight flush Five cards forming straight and a flush 2 10♠ J Q♠ K♠ A♠ Ace-high straight flush (Also called a Royal Flush)

A-2-3-4-5 is considered a five-high straight, and it is called a wheel or bicycle ; this is the only time an ace plays as a low card. An ace-high straight flush is called a royal flush and it cannot be beaten. The only time it ties is when all 5 cards to the royal flush, i.e.

A♥ K♥ Q♥ J♥ 10♥, are on the community board. Higher cards always beat lower cards, for example, a pair of aces beats a pair of kings, and a flush with a king beats a flush whose highest card is a Queen. If two players have the same pair, a kicker is used to break the tie if possible (more about them soon).

When two players have two pair, the highest pairs are considered, for example, aces up always beats kings up, no matter the other pairs. If, for example, two players both have aces up, then the higher of the smaller pairs wins: aces over kings beats aces over queens.

  1. If, for example, both players have aces over kings, then the kicker card is considered.
  2. Ickers also come into play when more than one player has the same three or four of a kind (possible only in community card games or wildcard games).
  3. If players have the same straight, flush, full house, or straight flush, it is always a tie and the players split the pot.

There is no suit superiority or trump suit; a spade flush with A-10-9-6-4 does not beat a club flush with the same values. A kicker is any card that you hold in your hand that does not make part of it, that is, an otherwise useless card. A hand can have more than one kicker; A pair for instance has three kickers and a three-of-a-kind has two, and they are considered in rank order highest-first.

  • When two players hold the same pair, two pair, three of a kind, or four of a kind, the highest kicker wins, for example, A-A-K-x-x beats A-A-Q-x-x, A-A-K-Q-x beats A-A-K-J-x, and A-A-K-Q-J beats A-A-K-Q-T,
  • A kicker can be higher than the rest of the hand, for example, K-K-A-x-x beats K-K-J-x-x, so an ace usually makes the best kicker.

If the first kicker ties and there is a second or third, they are compared in rank order; A-A-K-J-x loses to A-A-K-Q-x, If the hands are totally equivalent, the pot is split.

Can you keep Las Vegas chips?

Can You Take Casino Chips Home? – The short answer is yes – you can take casino chips home with no legal ramifications. Whether they’re poker chips or from other casino games, you can take chips home, or back up to your room if you’re at a casino resort.

  1. Many players collect chips from various poker rooms, and there’s nothing wrong with keeping a chip or two from a poker room if you’re playing away from your local area.
  2. If you’re playing at your local poker room, it might be useful to have a few chips on you in case you want to top up without worrying about buying more chips.

Poker chips can expire, however. If you hold on to any casino chips for too long, you could run the risk of not being able to convert them back to cash, Poker rooms will retire certain chipsets from time to time, making your old chips obsolete. If a casino or poker room closes, you could be left holding on to worthless chips.

What happens if I don’t give Mr House the platinum chip?

Wild Card: Change in Management Your first order of business, once you’ve fully explored, is so speak to Mr. House. As you no doubt noticed while working your way around his penthouse, Mr. House isn’t human. Well, not quite human, at least. Instead, a daunting, big brother-like face is shown on a green-toned screen.

Speak to the screen, and you’ll engage in a conversation with Mr. House. Now, this conversation can go in any number of ways. You can give Mr. House the Platinum Chip you acquired from Benny, if you’d like. You can even do that while getting more and more Bottle Caps from Mr. House for your hard work. Or, you can simply refuse to give the Platinum Chip to Mr.

House, which is precisely what we did. Keep in mind that if you choose to do this, all of the robots everywhere in the casino will turn on you. This will also seal off the entire The House Always Wins quest sequence. But you have to do what you have to do. advertisement Upon refusing to give Mr. House the Platinum Chip, you’ve basically sealed his fate. There’s no turning back now. It’s important to note that if you turn hostile with Mr. House, you will not be able to sell any of your Snow Globes to him, though you can still earn the Trophy/Achievement for finding them all.

  1. Mr. House can’t do anything to you, but all of his security robots sure can.
  2. You can kill whatever robots you want for the time being, but your main priority for now should be getting to the computer terminal affixed to a wall to your left.
  3. Access the computer terminal and force it to open up the secret area behind the wall.

Once that’s done, you can then blaze through to another computer terminal on your left. This computer will open up a hidden corridor to your left. Head down this corridor into an isolated, factory-like room full of pipes, steel and steam. The robots won’t follow behind, so you’re totally safe (for now). Run down the catwalk you’re on to some sort of strange pod, with a computer terminal in front of it.

Within the pod is Mr. House’s centuries-old, decrepit body. You have more options here, as to what you do to Mr. House. We opted to disable him, removing him from the casino’s mainframe, but otherwise keeping him alive. This is a pretty severe thing to do to him, since he’s still hooked-up to life support, but then again, he did sic his robots on you when you refused to hand over the Platinum Chip.

You reap what you sow, Mr. House! Should you choose to make a different decision, though, that’s cool too. Mr. House has been dealt with, which fulfills an important part of this particular mission. However, the entire The House Always Wins plot lines cannot be followed now (as we mentioned earlier). Now, all that’s left to do is to battle your way out of the casino, surviving to see another day.

  1. When you return to the penthouse from Mr.
  2. House’s life support chamber, any robots you didn’t already kill will attack you.
  3. Eep in mind that this includes not only all of the security robots, but Jane, and even Victor.
  4. We found that fire, while not an ideal weapon, works pretty well on groups of these guys, to slowly whittle down their health while you use a more conventional weapon to do the brunt of the damage.

For some reason, the AI on these robots seems pretty poor, so while you’ll be outnumbered, you shouldn’t have too much trouble felling these enemies. When you get back to the ground floor of the building, the two security robots there will attack you too.

What happens if you tell Mr House about the bug?

Notes –

  • Emily Ortal won’t appear until after Benny has been dealt with and the Platinum Chip is back in your possession.
  • You can tell Mr. House that you’ve been given a bug before you try to install it, and he will tell you to go ahead and try, but he will find it and disable it within 30 seconds. After the quest it is possible to tell Mr. House that you bugged his network, he will say that he “already noticed it, and removed it in 39.739 seconds”, indicating that it is useless to bug his network.
  • The Barter check during this quest is one of the few times your character’s name is mentioned.
The following is based on Fallout New Vegas cut content and has not been confirmed by canon sources.

ul>

  • “Lucky 38 Executive Override” is an option available from several terminals across the Mojave wasteland. It was originally designed to be part of this quest. A quest stage (still in GECK) would have required the player to perform the override on all three terminals before bugging the terminal in the casino level. That quest stage is now skipped, and the player can just talk to Emily and continue. There are three terminals with this option:
    • Anthony House ‘s office at the H&H Tools Factory
    • House Resort at Camp Golf, in an office
    • New Vegas Steel, in the room at the top of the metal staircase
You might be interested:  What Does Fish Mean In Poker?
  • Furthermore, the player would have at one point had to go down into the Lucky 38’s basement and inspect the reactor. The terminal for the reactor is still in-game and has options to turn it off and on, with the ladder requiring a Science check of 80. The context for the player going to the reactor has been removed, however, and is unknown what purpose this would’ve served.

It’s possible that this was related to the The House Always Wins, VII and was scrapped for that quest entirely, but for one reason or another, it’s associated with Moon Comes Over the Tower in its current form.

  • End of information based on Fallout New Vegas cut content,

The first time one enters the Lucky 38, any companions must wait outside. If the player character enters without telling them to wait, the game will do it for them, and one must manually prompt them to follow them again upon exiting. There is an unused part called “The House Always Wins: Lockdown”. If the Courier refuses to hand over the platinum chip, the securitrons in the Penthouse will become hostile. This will result in the failure of the quest. If the player character goes to Fortification Hill after retrieving the platinum chip, it will be confiscated by Caesar, and Mr. House will not talk to the player character. In order to continue, one must complete Caesar’s demands.
