How do I know if my laptop has a SIM card slot?
How to know whether the laptop having a sim card slot is dummy or working slot
- Hi:
- In order for the SIM card to work, your notebook would also need to have the required mobile broadband (WWAN) card.
- 90% of notebooks do not come with that very expensive and optional feature.
I will anticipate your next question.how to tell if the notebook has a WWAN card? Go to the device manager. Click to expand the Network Adapters device manager category. If your notebook has a WWAN card, it will be one of these models.
- HP lt4132 LTE/HSPA+ 4G Mobile Broadband Module
- HP hs3210 HSPA Mobile Broadband
- HP lt4120 Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ X5 LTE Mobile Broadband Module
- If you don’t see any of those devices listed, then the SIM card slot was covered for that reason.

Does Asus Zenbook 14 have SD card slot?
Compact design –
14-inch screenHDMI port and SD Card readerNumber pad in trackpad
Unlike the new which comes with incredibly thin bezels, and an external notch for the webcam, the ZenBook 14 takes a more traditional approach. The design is much more akin to the that came before it featuring an ErgoLift hinge that automatically lifts the keyboard up into a comfortable typing position when you open the lid.
- It’s an all metal design with plenty of sharp edges.
- The bezel might not be as thin as the ZenBook 13, but it’s still a fairly minimal 6.5mm around the 14-inch LED-backlit 16:9 NanoEdge full-HD (1080p) display even though the casing is what you would traditionally see in a 13-inch model.
- Yes, Asus has done a and created a much bigger screen than you would expect given the size of the device.
At just 1.45kg, it’s also lightweight enough take wherever you go. asus Beneath the screen is a full-sized chiclet keyboard which itself is braced by a pair of upward-firing Harmon Kardon speakers. Below that largish trackpad, complete with a fingerprint reader in the top right-hand corner and when needed an illuminated NumberPad.
- Handy for those accountants out there.
- The sides are flanked by a bevy of ports including 1 x USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C (10Gbps), 1 x USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A (5Gbps), 1 x USB 2.0, 1 x HDMI, SD card slot, 1 x Audio combo jack.
- The inclusion of HDMI should appeal to those constantly having to connect to projectors to present as it means they won’t need to worry about a dongle, while the SD card slot will appeal to those keen to get their photos onto the device with minimal effort.
The keyboard comes across fairly “spongy” when we had a go typing on it and the screen is good, but nothing to blow you away. We played with the new ZenBook 14 inside in a fairly dark room so we’re looking forward to seeing what its performance will be like in an office with windows, or on the go on the train for example.

Can a Asus laptop run The Sims 4?
As long as the laptop is built properly, you should be fine. With only 8 GB RAM, you’ll also want to keep multitasking to a minimum while playing.

Why does my laptop not have a SIM card slot?
The SIM card isn’t the hardware that gets you connected to the internet. You also need LTE modem/baseband/power amplifier/radio, and there aren’t enough people who use laptops while running around the city using LTE to justify incorporating that kind of hardware into a laptop.

Add New Question
- Question Once I get the game, am I all set to play it? If you’ve installed the game, then yes, you should be all set. You might need to adjust your graphics or gameplay settings, but other than that, you usually won’t need to do anything.
- Question Can I download The Sims 4 for free? Not unless you download it illegally. There was a promotion in 2019 that allowed you to get the base game for free, but that was the only time it’s been free (as of July 2021). However, the game sometimes goes on sale for about $5.00 on both Origin and Steam, which is more affordable than the full price.
- Question Can I get The Sims 4 on ChromeOS? Unfortunately, no. The computer version of The Sims 4 is only available for Windows and Mac. (And Chromebooks are designed for low-intensity tasks like writing papers or using the internet, so the game wouldn’t run very well on one anyway.)

How do I know if my laptop has cellular?
Use Cellular settings for connection issues – If your cellular data connection is working correctly, you shouldn’t need to change the cellular settings. However, if you’re having cellular connection problems, changing one or more settings may help. The following is a list of the cellular settings that you can use to try and fix cellular connection problems.
Setting | Does this |
---|---|
Let Windows manage this connection | Determines if your Windows 10 device will automatically connect to the cellular data network when it’s available. Clear the check box if you want to manually connect each time you want to use your cellular data connection. Select it if you want Windows to manage the connection for you. When selected, you’ll connect to cellular data automatically when you’re not connected to another kind of network. To find this setting, select the Start button, then select Settings > Network & Internet > Cellular > Let Windows manage this connection, This setting is available when you’re disconnected from the cellular data network, and it’s applied when you select Connect, |
Use this SIM for cellular data | Determines which SIM or eSIM profile is used for your cellular data connection. To help control costs, you can choose the cellular network connection to use for cellular data. For example, you might choose one SIM or eSIM profile over another because data costs less. This setting only appears on Windows 10 devices that have both a SIM and an eSIM. For more about using an eSIM, see Use an eSIM to get a cellular data connection on your Windows 10 PC, To find this setting, select the Start button, then select Settings > Network & Internet > Cellular > Use this SIM for cellular data, |
Data roaming options | Determines if your cellular data connection stays on when your Windows 10 device is outside your mobile operator’s network. Selecting Don’t roam can help prevent data roaming charges. If you do allow roaming, you can use cellular data when your Windows 10 device is in a roaming area. Depending on your data plan, you might pay more for data you use when roaming. To find this setting, select the Start button, then select Settings > Network & Internet > Cellular > Data roaming options, |
Use cellular instead of Wi-Fi | Sometimes you might be connected to a slower Wi-Fi network, or you might be in an area where using cellular data would be faster than Wi-Fi. In cases like this, Windows can connect you to the best network based on your current location if you select When Wi-Fi is poor or Always, When cellular data is used, it will use data from your data plan and you may incur charges. To find this setting, select the Start button, then select Settings > Network & Internet > Cellular, |
Choose apps that can use your cellular data | To help control your data usage, you can choose which apps can or can’t use cellular data. For example, if you have an app that uses a lot of data, but you don’t use it often when you’re on the go, you might not want that app to use cellular data. To find this setting, select the Start button, then select Settings > Network & Internet > Cellular > Choose apps that can use your cellular data, On the Cellular data screen, do one or more of the following:
|
Network selection | Appears when roaming and determines which cellular network connection is used. The default setting is Automatic. If you try to connect to a cellular network and see a message that the selected network isn’t available, you can choose Search for networks, and then select another cellular network. To find this setting, select the Start button, then select Settings > Network & Internet > Cellular > Advanced options, |
Active network | Displays the name of the cellular network that you’re using. To find this setting, select the Start button, then select Settings > Network & Internet > Cellular > Advanced options, |
Set as a metered connection | A metered connection is an Internet connection that has a data limit associated with it. By default, cellular data connections are set as metered. Some apps might work differently on a metered connection to help reduce your data usage. Also, some updates for Windows won’t be installed automatically. If you set a data limit in Data usage settings for your cellular data connection, Windows can help you stay under your data limit and set the metered connection setting for you. For more info about how to set a data limit, see Set your data limit, If you can’t change the metered connection setting and want to, see Why can’t I change the metered connection setting? To find this setting, select the Start button, then select Settings > Network & Internet > Cellular > Advanced options, |
Add an APN | The Internet access point name (APN) is the address your Windows 10 device uses to connect to the Internet when using your cellular data connection. Usually, the Internet APN is set automatically. If your cellular data connection isn’t working and you can’t connect to the Internet, type a new Internet APN based on your location and mobile operator. If you can connect to a Wi‑Fi network on your Windows 10 device or have a phone handy, try searching online to find the Internet APN settings for your mobile operator.
|
Properties | This displays information about your SIM and cellular data connection. For example, you can find your IMEI number here. Select Copy to copy the information to paste into an email or elsewhere. This can be helpful if you’re having connection problems and need to send information to your mobile operator or support person. To find this Properties setting, select the Start button, then select Settings > Network & Internet > Cellular > Advanced options, |
Use SIM PIN | Determines if you want to use a PIN for the SIM in your Windows 10 device to help prevent other people from using the cellular data connection when they’re not authorized. After you’ve set up your SIM PIN, you’ll be prompted to type the SIM PIN when you try to connect. When prompted, type your SIM PIN. If this is the first time using it, type the default SIM PIN. If you don’t know the default SIM PIN, visit your mobile operator’s website to see if they list it there. You must restart your Windows 10 device for your cellular data connection to be locked with a SIM PIN. If you’ve already set up a PIN for the SIM, type your SIM PIN when prompted, and then select OK, To find this SIM PIN setting, select the Start button, then select Settings > Network & Internet > Cellular > Advanced options > Use SIM PIN under the Security section. |
Remove SIM PIN | This appears when you’re using a SIM PIN. If you’re using a SIM PIN and decide you don’t want to use a PIN anymore, select Remove SIM PIN, type your current SIM PIN, and then select OK, To find this SIM PIN setting, select the Start button, then select Settings > Network & Internet > Cellular > Advanced options > Remove SIM PIN under the Security section. |
Change SIM PIN | This appears if you’re using a SIM PIN. To change your SIM PIN if you’re using one, select Change SIM PIN, type your current SIM PIN in the Current SIM PIN box, type a new SIM PIN in the New SIM PIN box, type the same new SIM PIN in the Confirm new SIM PIN box, and then select OK, To find this setting, select the Start button, then select Settings > Network & Internet > Cellular > Advanced options > Change SIM PIN under the Security section. |
Unblock SIM PIN | This appears if you’re using a SIM PIN and the incorrect PIN was entered three times. When this happens, the SIM will be blocked and can’t be used until you unblock it. To unblock it, you’ll need to contact your mobile operator for the PIN Unblocking Key (PUK) code. Next, select Unblock SIM PIN, and then type the PUK code. If an incorrect PUK code is entered too many times, your SIM card will be permanently blocked, and you’ll need to get a new SIM card from your mobile operator. To find this setting if your SIM is blocked, select the Start button, then select Settings > Network & Internet > Cellular > Advanced options > Unblock SIM PIN under the Security section. |
Do any laptops have cellular?
Reasons to avoid – – Spongy keys with low travel – Android app functionality isn’t great The Samsung Chromebook Plus is the cheapest standard 4G LTE laptop, which makes it a great value option for those needing mobile data while working away from home.
It starts at $599.99, which means you shouldn’t expect much from its 32GB of eMMC storage and Intel Core m3-6Y30 processor, but its clear and radiant display is bound to charm you. Additionally, it comes with Verizon 4G LTE automatically installed in its $599.99 base model, which means you won’t have to spend additional money to get access to this function.
However, the spongy keys on its keyboard are frustrating because they are mushier than we’d like. Its Android app functionality isn’t particularly impressive, either, but if this isn’t much of a dealbreaker for you, the Samsung Chromebook Plus is a good choice for those in need of a cheap 4G LTE laptop. Is ZenBook 14 worth buying?
Asus ZenBook 14 OLED (2022) Review: A premium laptop with a practical price Asus recently dropped two premium consumer notebooks in its ZenBook series. The Asus ZenBook 14 OLED and ZenBook 14X OLED Space Edition combine premium design with powerful specifications. While the ZenBook 14 OLED Space Edition is a unique, one-of-a-kind laptop, our focus is on the more consumer-friendly ZenBook 14 OLED.
- The ZenBook 14 OLED arrives with a 12th Gen Intel processor, a 2.8K OLED display, a large 75Whr battery, and an all-aluminium design.
- The ZenBook 14 OLED’s starting price is Rs 89,990 and goes up to Rs 1,04,990 for our model.
- Design & Build The ZenBook 14 OLED is made of an aluminium alloy that is tough and features US MIL-STD 810H military-grade protection.
However, the durable build doesn’t come at the cost of a compact design, weighing 1.39 kg and measuring 16.9mm thick. It also has a 180-degree hinge design that makes it easier for collaborative workloads. The notebook is being offered in Aqua Celadon and Ponder Blue finishes, while the lid has a reflective logo. ASUS monogram logo. The ZenBook features a premium build that seems durable but that doesn’t take anything away from the design. The laptop looks stylish and is also highly portable. The ZenBook’s compact size makes it ideal for work on the go. I found the laptop particularly useful for work when travelling.
- The ZenBook 14 OLED features a thin and light form factor while being durable.
- Ports For a 14-inch notebook, the ZenBook has quite a few ports.
- The notebook features two USB Type-C ports with Thunderbolt 4 support, a USB Type-A port, a microSD card reader, a 3.5mm audio jack, and an HDMI 2.0 port.
- It also comes with Bluetooth 5.2 and wi-fi 6E connectivity.
Keyboard & touchpad The ZenBook 14 OLED has the ErgoSense backlit keyboard with a large touchpad. The ErgoLift hinge lifts the keyboard deck, making it more comfortable to type on. The keys also boast a 1.4mm key travel distance, which the company claims is the “longest of any laptop in its class”. The touchpad of the ZenBook 14 OLED (2022) has a large surface area that doubles as a NumPad, which Asus claims is NumPad 2.0. The touchpad has an LED-illuminated numeric keypad that doubles as a calculator. The touchpad is quite responsive, which makes it easy to navigate through the laptop.
- Overall, the keyboard and touchpad experience on the ZenBook 14 OLED was excellent, adding to the convenience while travelling.
- Display The Asus ZenBook 14 OLED has one of the best displays on a premium laptop.
- The notebook sports a 14-inch OLED panel with a 2.8K (2880 x 1800) resolution and a 16:10 aspect ratio.
The ZenBook has a 10-bit panel with up to 550 nits of peak brightness and 100 percent DCI-P3 and 113 percent sRGB colour gamut. The laptop is also Pantone validated. The screen is VESA DisplayHDR 500 True Black compatible to ensure excellent details with true-to-life colours. When it comes to entertainment, the display is the best in its class and if that isn’t enough, the notebook also sports a 90Hz refresh rate and a 0.2ms response time.
The screen has also been certified by TUV Rheinland for hardware-based low blue light emission. Audio The ZenBook 14 OLED is equipped with stereo speakers and a Smart AMP. The sound is tuned by Harman Kardon and features Dolby Atmos support. While the sound is not out of this world, it is more than enough to fill a quiet room.
I had to use external speakers when using the laptop at home but in a hotel room, the sound was loud enough for dialogues and vocals. Performance The ZenBook 14 OLED opts for a powerful 12th Gen Intel Core Core i7 1260P processor with 4 Performance cores and 8 Efficiency cores. I wasn’t quite sold on general multitasking, so I ran an Android game ( Raid: Shadow Legends ) on Auto in the background. But despite a game running in the back as well as 10 tabs in Google Chrome and Microsoft Word running simultaneously, the ZenBook 14 OLED didn’t slow down.
We also ran a couple of benchmarks, with the CPU scoring a multi-core score of 7,981 points and a single-core score of 1501 points. In Cinebench R23, the notebook managed a single-core score of 1491 points and a multi-core score of 6998 points. In the Cinebench 10-minute stress test, we saw the single-core score drop to 1,284 and the multi-core score drop to 6,213 points.
I was also able to run Overwatch and DOTA 2 on medium settings in 720p resolution or 1080p resolution on medium settings. Battery The battery life on the ZenBook 14 OLED (2022) was more than sufficient to get through an entire workday. It packs a 75Whr battery and comes with 65W charging support over a USB Type-C port.
The large battery was capable of delivering a full workday of usage on a single charge, which is roughly eight to nine hours, depending on your usage. I used the laptop for work while travelling and only ended up burning 50 percent of the battery after using the laptop for about four and a half hours at a stretch. However, the laptop also supports Asus’ proprietary Easy Charge technology to ensure optimal charging speeds.
- Camera Unfortunately, the ZenBook 14 OLED uses an underwhelming 3DNR HD (720p) webcam, which is about average for video calls.
- Considering this is a premium laptop, I’d expected to see a 1080p webcam.
- The webcam also comes with a privacy shutter and AI noise-cancelling audio technology for calls.
- The new ZenBook 14 OLED also comes with a fingerprint scanner with Windows Hello authentication.
Verdict The Asus ZenBook 14 OLED (2022) is your run-of-the-mill premium consumer notebook. The new ZenBook also ticks all the boxes of a premium laptop with its powerful yet efficient processor, a solid build with a compact design, excellent audio, and comfortable keyboard. And since we’re on the topic of OLED displays, the new ZenBook has one of the best screens on I’ve seen on a consumer notebook. Additionally, it is also the smoothest with its high refresh rate. If you are looking for a premium notebook for everyday use or work on the go, then the ZenBook 14 OLED (2022) is worth considering.
- The ZenBook also features Intel’s Evo certification, ensuring excellent power and productivity standards.
- One of the only drawbacks of the new ZenBook 14 OLED is its simplistic design.
- It may not hit the tall expectations of the ultra-premium notebooks but it also doesn’t come at an ultra-premium price.
This makes the new ZenBook the most practical choice for consumers looking to buy a premium laptop. : Asus ZenBook 14 OLED (2022) Review: A premium laptop with a practical price

Does ZenBook duo have number pad?
Screens & Battery – The ASUS ZenBook Duo comes with two screens, yes I said it before, but they have two screens so I can say it twice. The primary screen is a 14 inch FHD panel, yes that means 1920×1080, which I am more than happy with. It suits the use of most households, and business needs.
The secondary screen has a resolution of 1920×515. The angle of the second screen makes using it simpler, however it’s still flatter than I would like. I found myself leaning over the laptop in order to use it better. My usage of the second screen was maybe 10% of the time I used the laptop overall. The rest of the time it simply remained on, without being used.
For regular business or home users the dual screen is overkill, great for referencial work, but not much else. For creators, it can be a great added tool.
Both screens work very well together, and ASUS has provided some buttons that help you quickly enable, disable, etc. the second screen. You can even use the second screen as a mouse, calculator or number pad. A great way to add a modular app/tool to your work, this was probably the best use of the second screen for me.
- The ZenBook Duo UX482, has a 17 hour battery life as per ASUS.
- In my own usage, the laptop would last around 7.5 hours, with both screens on, while doing my average workload.
- If I disabled the second screen, the laptop would go up to around 9 hours.
- That is really impressive and great for a regular work laptop.
All this without missing a beat and not lagging even for a second.
